Steam generator

The Steam generator is developed to assist operators with frozen pipes and connections on aircraft that have just landed after flying in very cold temperatures. In order to empty waste tanks or fill with fresh water, pipes need to be fully thawed out and connections need to be free of frost contamination.

For all toilet and water service units Vestergaard Company offer a steam generator with extra large capacity.

A fully heated steam generator (152° C at approx. 5 bar relative pressure) will allow at least 10 minutes of continuous consumption.

With an external power supply (230 V) connected to the vehicle the steam generator can be in a “stand-by fast operational” mode, thus entirely avoiding the normal heat-up period of approx. 20 min. (cold start).

The steam generator requires very little service, and descaling the generator once a year should suffice
